Request an estimate for planned care where available and clarify the currency and payment timing. The final bill can depend on the services actually provided and any changes in the clinical plan.
Verify insurance arrangements
Contact your insurer to confirm hospital eligibility, covered services, authorisation requirements and any personal contribution. Ask the hospital whether direct billing can be arranged for your policy and proposed care. A logo or partnership listing does not confirm individual coverage or remove the need for approval.
Keep useful records
