Check your confirmation
Make sure your name, appointment date, local time and contact details are correct. Confirm the clinician or department and the type of visit. If you requested a particular language or accessibility arrangement, check that the team has recorded the request and explained what is available.
Resolve missing details
If you have not received confirmation, contact the team with the date of your request and any reference number. Ask whether the appointment is confirmed, awaiting review or still being arranged. An enquiry acknowledgement alone does not establish an appointment time or guarantee a particular clinician.
Prepare to attend
Confirm the arrival time, entrance or reception point, required identification and any requested documents. Ask about test preparation, payment arrangements and what to do if you are delayed. Keep a copy of the final confirmation available during your journey and on arrival.
