Bring a complete medication list
Include prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, traditional medicines and supplements, with the dose and frequency where known. Note allergies and previous adverse reactions. Packaging or clear photographs of labels can help identify ingredients when brand names differ between countries or prescriptions are written in another language.
Confirm prescription and supply requirements
Medicine availability and prescription requirements can differ by location. Ask the team to confirm the exact ingredient, strength and required documentation before relying on local supply. A familiar brand may not be available, and any change of product or dose needs appropriate professional guidance.
Plan ongoing treatment and travel
Discuss how much medicine is needed, storage requirements and how future prescriptions will be arranged. If travelling internationally, check applicable transport and import rules for your medicines. Ask a clinician or pharmacist about interactions and seek advice before changing an established treatment plan.
