Advanced Treatment Protocol for Autism

Patient Information

  • Name: Alexei
  • Date of Birth: April 3, 2010
  • Gender: Male
  • Country of Residence: Russia

Diagnosis: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Medical History:
Alexei was born healthy, but at around one year old, he started suffering from frequent bronchitis and angina episodes after being infected by his elder brother. At the age of one, he was diagnosed with hypermetropia and organic brain damage. Further examinations revealed hydrocephalus, leading to Alexei being issued a disability certificate.

Alexei displayed various autistic behaviors such as lack of emotion, pain insensitivity, fearlessness, capriciousness, repetitive running, shouting, speech delay, and difficulty sleeping and eating. Despite numerous rehabilitation efforts (physical therapy, acupuncture, dolphin therapy, courses with pathologists, speech therapists, psychologists) in Russia, Alexei's condition remained largely unchanged until his mother learned about Minimally Invasive Brain Repair (MIBR) combined with nerve growth factors implantation at Beijing Puhua International Hospital.

Treatment:
After admission to BPIH in August 2018, Alexei underwent the following treatment protocol:

  1. Minimally Invasive Brain Repair (MIBR) with nerve growth factors implantation:

    • The MIBR procedure was performed using the Remebot robotic stereotactic surgery system.
    • Nerve growth factors were injected into specific brain regions to promote neurogenesis and improve nutrient supply to damaged neural cells.
  2. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM):

    • Tailored TCM treatments were administered alongside the surgical intervention to enhance overall well-being and facilitate recovery.
  3. Rehabilitation Training:

    • Postoperative rehabilitation exercises helped improve Alexei's motor skills, speech, and social interactions.

Treatment Results:

  • After four months of treatment at BPIH, Alexei showed significant improvements in communication with others, including making a friend with a Russian girl during his stay.
  • Upon returning to Russia, Alexei's mother reported that he had started speaking more words and expressing interest in various activities. He even asked for a white bear as a gift—a request that would have been unimaginable before treatment.

New Year Greetings from Alexei's Mother:

"Hi! Everything goes well with Alexei, studying hard at school and also has extra lessons after classes. Very expecting the new year! He can speak more words, interested in more things! He asked for a gift – white bear! This wouldn’t happen before! Thank you very much!!! Please give our as well as Alexei’s wishes to all! We love you very much!!!"

We are thrilled with Alexei's progress and wish him continued improvement and happiness in life.
